How it works

Start with a photo.
That's genuinely it.

No appointment, no form to fill out, no salesperson calling you back. Send a picture of the piece to 817-609-6503 and you'll usually hear back inside half an hour.

01

Text or email a photo

Send a picture of your piece to 817-609-6503 or upholsteryangels@hotmail.com, with your name and a line about what you want done. During shop hours a reply usually takes 15–30 minutes.

02

Get a real quote

You'll get two numbers: labour per piece, and roughly how many yards it will take. Material is separate so you stay in control of the budget. Every quote is honored for 90 days.

03

Choose your fabric

Come walk the floor. Someone will help you narrow six hundred bolts down to three, and tell you honestly which will hold up to a dog, a toddler, or west-facing afternoon sun.

04

We pick it up

We schedule a date and collect the piece ourselves — carefully, and for a low flat fee. Half down at pickup gets you on the calendar.

05

We bring it home

The piece comes back finished and set where you want it. Balance is due on delivery, once you've looked it over and you're happy with it.

In the shop

Stripped to the frame.

Springs still tied by hand, eight ways. Frames rebuilt in hardwood before a yard of fabric is cut. It's slower. It's the reason the last one lasted forty years.

Commercial & contract

Closed Monday. Open Tuesday.

Restaurants, clinics, hotels, universities and hospitals across North Texas — including the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. Because we're family-owned we can run the shop overnight. If the room has to be back in service tomorrow, say so and we'll tell you straight whether we can do it.

Who you're hiring

We are Angel's Fabrics & Upholstery.

“That is where Angel, the father, runs the shop. Luis, the son, oversees all the deliveries and pickups, which have been handled with care and courtesy. This is a lovely family business that understandably takes pride in what they do.”
Kenneth & Dona R. · Yelp

Angel Montalvo has been at the bench for thirty-five years. Today it's three generations working the same floor — Angel in the shop, his son Luis running the vans and the front of the house, and a crew who have been here long enough that customers ask for them by name.

We've been lucky enough to work alongside good interior designers on restaurants, hotels, apartments, professional buildings, universities, hospitals, and more doctors' offices than we can count. But the work we're proudest of is usually somebody's grandmother's chair.

Angel's goal is simple, and it hasn't changed: stay a family-owned business for the generations to come.
